Lake Valhalla - September 1, 2025

It was great to get back to what used to be an old standby, but one I hadn't done in 24 years. It was great to do it with Kay and the Flanagan's making it a wonderful holiday event. Emily was hoping to swim in an alpine lake over the weekend, and her objective was achieved.

Mount Galiano, BC - August 28, 225

Mount Galiano is the highest point on Galiano Island with a commanding view of the Southern Gulf Islands and the west end of Active Pass. On a clear day the Olympic Mountains would be the backdrop. For us the weather was cloudy and hazy. Nevertheless the view was impressive.

Village Bay and Mayne Island is immediately below us. 

The ferry traffic was continual in Active Pass.
