Park Butte - October 16, 2013

Above Morovitz Meadow the snow was deep enough to allow snow shoe travel which enabled some fun cross country roaming. The views were stunning as well. It was pretty much a perfect day.

A nice perch in the sun.

Clear skies, fresh snow, yellow larch and good company made this the perfect fall hike.

There was some tricky footwork required to navigate some icy stream crossings.

 Cheers!

Scott Paul Trail - September 25, 2013

We encountered a bit of ice on the trail and saw fresh snow on the higher peaks. Fall was definitely in the air.

Mr. Marmot looks like he's ready for winter.

Blue Lake - September 18, 2013

Fall was certainly in the air but the sprinkles were light and intermittent. The sun was also visible so we made the right decision to push a bit east.

 Hey look! blue sky
