Lizard & Lilly Lakes - January 28, 2021

 I have avoided the Chuckanut hills during Covid as the trail heads have been crowded. However, this was a marginal weather day, mid-week, and I figured the east side of Blanchard Mountain wouldn't be too crowded. I was anxious to do something other than the ACFL. There turned out to be a lot of snow on top which made it even less traveled. It was a pleasantly lonely experience.

Leavenworth Orchard Snowshoe - January 4, 2021

 Kay and I stayed an additional day in Leavenworth due to road conditions on the pass. It was a great opportunity to enjoy the fresh stuff in the orchard with Michael and Kathy.

Icicle River Snowshoe - January 2, 2021

Abundant fresh snow and being the only ones around made this a peaceful outing. It was quiet save for the sound of the river. It made for a contemplative space for Kay and I. 

The crags of Icicle Ridge made a dramatic and mysterious appearance through the clouds.
