Coffin Rocks/Reservation Head - July 7, 2021

The low misty clouds and the swells breaking on the rugged rocks, created a brooding ambiance for our kelp monitoring and subsequence paddle along Reservation Head. There we searched for sea stars. We spotted 5 which made our day.

Lynne joined Bob and I for this survey and our subsequent explore. It was nice to have her join us.

Where's Waldo, Can you spot the two purple sea stars on the rock to my left?

Ollala Canyon to Peshastin Pinnacles - July 5. 2021

I wanted to see if the Ollala Trail could be hiked through to Peshastin Pinnacles State Park, so I did just that with Emily and the boys. It was a little difficult at the end for my 70 year old legs and balance but no problem at all for the others.

The hike involved a brief crossing of private land.

Bode reacts to seeing the Pinnacles below.
