Quincy Lakes - April 26, 2018

The first paddle of the season was a delightful experience. We explored the Evergreen Reservoir which is the largest of the many lakes and potholes which make up the Quincy Lakes unit of the Columbia Basin Wildlife Area. This 15,266 acre unit is administered by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Kay, Michael, and Kathy raft up for a break in one of the lakes bays. We really enjoyed the cacophony of bird songs in the marshy areas.

We saw a number of large fish.

The water was glass all day.

The sage step environment here is not one we often explore so it was a welcome change.
