Bagley Lake - December 23, 2024

It was the first real snowshoe of the year. We had to go all the way to the upper parking lot of the Baker ski area to find sufficient snow depth. A couple of recent wet snow days left a  fresh layer of dense (wet) snow. It was fun to mentor Peter and is son Noah on their first snowshoe outing. In return they helped me get up when I fell. Age is catching up to me.

Lisa packed us a great lunch for us.

We stopped to view Nooksack Falls on the drive back. It was impressive

Icicle River Snow Walk - December 3, 2022

Kay, Kathy, Michael and I wanted to get outside for a walk but weren't sure where to go. We decided to drive up the Icicle to Bridge Creek Camp Ground. We weren't sure what the snow/ice conditions would be so we brought both our snowshoes and our Yak tracks. We opted for the latter and had a great time.

Old Ohme Road Trail - November 9 & 30, 2024

Kay and I did this hike twice in November, once with Luna and Grace and, three weeks later, with the Flanagan clan. It was great fun each time.

On the earlier outing, the orchards across the Columbia River made a colorful Fall mosaic.

We all had a great afternoon.
