The rain restrained itself for the boy's day off on the Baker River. An encounter with local law enforcement capped off with beer and nachos made for a fun day.
This was one of the few log bridges we saw that was still functional.

Lopez Island the Sequel - May 4, 2011
I enjoyed myself so much on Lopez last week I had to share it with friends this week. We caught a break in the dismal weather we've been having and enjoyed some warm sunshine and fresh pastries at Holly B's Bakery.

Lopez Island - April 24-27, 2011
Kay and I took a few days to hike and paddle some new places for us on the south end of Lopez Island. We were surprised at the rugged beauty we found there.
