Huntoon Point - January 15, 2014

The weather was not supposed to be that good but it just kept getting better as the day went on. This was our first snowshoe of the season due to the general lack of snow in the Cascades. You would have never guessed it by the winter wonderland on the ridge.

Leavenworth "Snowshoe" Weekend - January 10,11,12 2014

Well, we hoped to enjoy some winter snow but there was a real lack of the white stuff. Regardless we had a great time with friends and enjoyed some alternative outdoor adventures.
It was pouring in the pass but above Camas Meadow we had some blue sky and sunshine.

On Saturday we enjoyed Peshastin Pinnacles in warm sunshine.

Park Butte - October 16, 2013

Above Morovitz Meadow the snow was deep enough to allow snow shoe travel which enabled some fun cross country roaming. The views were stunning as well. It was pretty much a perfect day.

Cutthroat Pass - October 9, 2013

Clear skies, fresh snow, yellow larch and good company made this the perfect fall hike.

There was some tricky footwork required to navigate some icy stream crossings.

 Cheers!

Scott Paul Trail - September 25, 2013

We encountered a bit of ice on the trail and saw fresh snow on the higher peaks. Fall was definitely in the air.

Mr. Marmot looks like he's ready for winter.
