Mayne Island, Part 4 (afoot) - July 2016

Kay and I were not in the boats the whole time. The Island itself offered a number of nice trails and great beach access giving us ample areas to explore. Here is a sample.
Georgina Point Heritage Point and Lighthouse is one two parcels on the island which are part of the Gulf Islands National Park Reserve (GINPR); a relatively new addition to the Canadian National Park system.

 Kay explores Reef Bay.

Edith Point has a number of well maintained trails all on a large privately owned property which the owners graciously allow to be traveled

An island of about 1100 residents can't support a public transit system or a taxi service so this is how they compensate.
