Wedge Mountain - July 17, 2022

I hadn't been on Wedge in seven years. The loss of the old 4-Runner eliminated the only vehicle I had that I was willing to abuse to get up to the trail head. So when Patrick suggested going up there I jumped at the chance. The road had further deteriorated so I was glad he was driving. My legs were not as strong as they were back then either but I had a wonderful time none the less.

It was special to be hiking with all the Flanagan men. Hugo and Bode are strong hikers.

The views from the ridge top are spectacular.

Seeing Snow Lake, the Temple, McClellan, Little Annapurna et. al. called up fond memories of other adventures in the Enchantments.

Turtle Rock - July 16, 2022

Kay, Michael, Kathy and I circumnavigated Turtle Rock in Lake Entiat in flat calm and without a cloud in the sky. It was a very relaxing outing.

Snow Creek Trail - July 14, 2022

I was out for a "conditioning" hike but it turned out to be a very enjoyable outing.

I shared the trail with this lady (I think) a bit, both on the way up and on the way back

The Icicle was still full of spring run-off

A new fish diversion structure was being added to the canal.

Another "old goat" was in the area, Still trying to shed it's winter coat.

The Snow Creek Wall was an impressive sight across the canyon.

Burrows Bay - July 10, 2022

Kay and I were joined by Bob and Judy to do a paddle in our "back yard" and enjoy some great summer weather.
