Smuggler Cove Provincial Park BC - April 23, 2026

The Previous two times we were at this beautiful spot we paddled there in our kayaks, launching from Halfmoon Bay.  That was in 2007 and 2009. Those were awesome experiences. The place was just as beautiful visiting on foot.

The trail to the Cove is radically improved and is now rerouted  over wetlands with a brand new set of board walks.

Flowering Currant

The water was chrystal clear and the most beautiful emerald color.

 

It was emotional for me remembering the pure joy I experienced entering the cove in our kayaks for the first time.
